BARTO GOLD MINING
Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, two active open pits, with new mines started in 2025 and planned to start in 2026 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.
This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth while expanding our current camp. As a kitchen hand in our business, you will be required to be flexible in your approach to your work and be able to work both a day shift and night shift on a rotating roster, to assist the Chefs to service our village residents. Roster 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off BIBO from Perth.
About the role:
- Work alongside chef assisting on general kitchen duties
- Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables and desserts, according to Chefs instructions, following approved procedures
- Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service is to a high standard
- Maintain a high standard of cleaning processes
- Clean and maintain dining room tables and floors in good, clean and presentable condition
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
- Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Be able to work rotating day/night shift
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Skills and qualifications:
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Be able to work rotating day/night shift
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Proven bulk catering experience (highly desirable)
- Understanding of Food Safety principals and the HACCP methodology
- National Police Clearance or willing to obtain (essential)
- To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
- Food Handling Certificate (Essential for kitchenhand and prep-hand)
- Current Manual Drivers Licence
