Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, 3 underground mine, and two open pit mines. About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, this role is responsible for providing regular surveys of the mining area to support mine planning and production activity. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on 8 days on 6 days off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all survey duties are carried out to conform with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Provide timely daily pit mine surveying requirements
- Ensure pits are mined to design and maintain accurate records on monthly basis including reporting on end of period surveys including pit volume, and stockpile surveys
- Engage in project work to optimise mining efficiencies and the provision of general surveying services to the site as required
Essential qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Surveying
- Open-pit experience highly regarded
- 1-3 years’ experience in an open pit role
- Proficiency with mine surveying software, with previous experience using Surpac or Deswik highly desirable
- A Western Australian manual driver’s license
- A proactive attitude, collaborative approach and commitment to safety
