About Us

Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, two active open pits, with new mines started in 2025 and planned to start in 2026 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028

We are seeking a motivated and driven Mining Engineer to play a key role in supporting both open pit and underground operations. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on a 8 days on 6days off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.

About the role
As a Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for mine planning, drill & blast design, production engineering, and contributing to safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations. Working closely with operations and technical teams, you’ll provide practical solutions that drive productivity and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mining Engineering (or related discipline)
• Sound understanding of mine operation, drill & blast, planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in mine design and scheduling software (e.g. Deswik, Surpac, SHOTPlus, or similar)
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a high performing, tight-knit team
• Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting demands.
