BARTO GOLD MINING
Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, 3 underground mine, and two open pit mines. This is a growth opportunity and exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth.
We are seeking a Plant Optimisation Supervisor to improve how our gold processing plant is operated — focusing on people, plant, and practices across crushing, milling, tailings, and dewatering circuits.
This is a new role and the role is hands-on and field based, working alongside Operations to lift consistency, capability, and long-term plant performance.
About the Role
- Spend time in the plant observing and understanding how work is practically executed.
- Coach operators and supervisors during live operations
- Help standardise operating practices, procedures, and work areas
- Reduce reliance on workarounds and local knowledge
- Improve task design, layouts, and interfaces between people and plant
- Work across Operations, Metallurgy, Maintenance, and Projects to ensure changes are practical and sustained
- Support commissioning, change, and handover into steady-state operations
- Advocate for people wellbeing, ownership mindset, and sustainable performance
This is a hands-on, field-based optimisation role — not a desk, audit, or compliance-only position.
About You
- Strong operational background in gold processing
- Experience across crushing, milling, and tailings circuits
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence in the field
- Practical problem-solving skills with strong observational ability
- Calm, credible presence that earns trust on the plant
Desirable:
- Experience in mature or legacy processing plants
- Exposure to continuous improvement or operational excellence programs
- Senior Operator or Supervisory experience
Why Join Barto Gold?
- Owner-operator operating model
- Focus on long-term stability, not short-term
- Opportunity to shape how the plant is operated day-to-day
- Strong backing to improve capability, safety, and performance
You must have a current WA driver's licence and be able to pass pre-employment checks including a full medical, drug, and alcohol testing, and a police clearance.
