BARTO GOLD MINING
Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, three active open pit mines and new mines planned to start in 2026 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.
We are seeking experienced Process Technicians to join our processing operations at our gold mine. This is a great time to join the Barto Gold Processing Department as our business progresses into 2026 and beyond, this growth is expected to create new roles and career progression opportunities for high-performing team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor gold processing plant equipment including crushing, milling, gravity, CIL/CIP, elution and gold room activities
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and first-line maintenance
- Identify and report plant faults, hazards, and improvement opportunities
- Complete operational logs, reports, and shift handovers
- Maintain housekeeping and comply with site safety, environmental, and quality systems
- Work closely with maintenance and metallurgical teams to optimise plant performance
About you:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a gold processing plant and be able to independently and safely operate crushers, ore transfer conveyors and stackers, mills, cyclones, Leach & CIL circuits as well of an understanding of water and tailings management. Your experience assisting with elution, gravity and gold room sections and the ability to operate CITECT control systems will be highly regarded.
Essential Skills and experience will include current tickets and licences in:
- Bobcat,
- Current WA manual drivers' licence
- Confined spaces ticket
- Working at heights
- Current WA HR drivers' licence
You will be a self-motivated team player with a strong focus on delivery and safety awareness, with the ability to encourage, support and motivate other team members and be able to instil a thorough understanding of ‘sense of urgency" requirements to your teammates.
