Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, one active open pit, with new mines started in 2024 and planned to start in 2026 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.
This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on 8 days on 6 days off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will provide the delivery of projects from inception to completion for the processing plant and supporting infrastructure. This role is challenging as it requires managing multiple projects across different disciplines simultaneously, which will require a blend of technical expertise, project management, leadership skills, superior time management and fast paced decision making.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- 7-10 yrs previous experience in processing and mechanical infrastructure projects
- Brownfields projects exposure would be advantageous
- Full Australian working rights
- Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Proficiency in project planning software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Experience in cost management and financial reporting
- Track record of driving performance improvements on technical projects
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team
- Willingness to complete a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Strong commitment to safety, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support across the full project scope
- Assist in preparing work schedules and prioritising tasks in coordination with the Project Manager
- Ensure thorough understanding of project scope, drawings, and delivery schedules
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and stakeholders on project-related matters
- Manage quality documentation and project compliance/reporting requirements
- Coordinate resources such as personnel, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Support site teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project goals
