Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, 3 underground mine, and two open pit mines. About the role
Reporting to the Metallurgist Superintendent, the Senior Metallurgist is responsible for the development/optimization of metallurgical processes and/or practices and directs operational control parameters required to attain optimum gold production from the various ore sources. The Senior Metallurgist is an important leadership role overseeing metallurgists and supporting operational practices.

About you:

• The successful candidate will be a Degree qualified in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.  
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working on a gold processing plant
• Current WA manual driver’s license 
• High-level computer skills including software such as SAP, spreadsheets, and databases    

Desirable skills and experience include:   

• Experience working in a leadership/supervisory capacity, ideally within a processing plant
• Experience working on gold processing CIP, 3 stage crushing, Elution operations
• Familiar Western Australia Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations
• Experience with SAP and maintenance planning functionality
