BARTO GOLD MINING
Barto Gold is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. Its flagship project is located at Marvel Loch in Western Australia, operating multiple open pits and an underground mine, which services a 2.1Mt per annum name plate processing facility. These are supported by a tenement holding of greater than 1,400km2 over the prospective Southern Cross Greenstone Belt only 4 and a half hours from Perth.
Due to exciting growth in our Western Australian operations, we are seeking to recruit an Underground Electrical Supervisor to join our Southern Cross operation. The role is an 8:6 roster and is BIBO from Perth, or DIDO.
About the role:
Reporting to the Underground Electrical Superintendent, the role contributes to the optimization of the performance, availability and safety of the underground operations. This role is responsible for the Installing servicing, maintenance and fault finding of our underground electrical equipment of the Barto Operations in a safe and efficient manner, fully complying with all relevant Statutory requirements and safety regulations while also managing a team of underground electricians.
Skills and qualifications essential to the role include:
- Ability to Supervise and mentor a team of U/G Electricians
- Executing monthly scheduled statutory requirements promptly and accurately.
- Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems, ensuring reliable power distribution.
- Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime.
- Installing RCT tele remote systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Setting up and maintaining underground communication systems while updating relevant drawings.
About you:
The successful candidate will need to possess the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in U/G Electrical with preventative maintenance programs and systems
- 2+ years’ experience in a Supervisory role
- Experience working in accordance with AS3007 and electrical wiring regulations
- Experience with reporting, completing electrical logs and working to a work order system
- PLC analysis modifications and monitoring
- Electrical nominee (essential)
- Test and Tagging
- Current "A" Grade Western Australian Electrical License
- Nominee’s (Desirable)
- Current unencumbered C/HR WA Drivers License (Essential)
- Relevant trade qualification (Essential)
- Unrestricted WA Electrical License (Essential)
- Current High Voltage Switching certificate (Desirable)
- Senior First Aid (Desirable)
- Good communication skills
