BARTO GOLD MINING

Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mine, two active open pits, with new mines started in 2024 and planned to start in 2026 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028

We have an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a startup underground which is dewatering and undergoing rehabilitation to commence production later in the year.

 

About the role 

Reporting to the Mining Manager OP & UG, as the successful candidate, you will

  • Ensure a competent, engaged and performance driven UG workforce
  • Provide appropriate team development opportunities to build accountability and internal capability
  • Direct, manage and control all UG manning activities
  • Identify and implement changes to improve UG production, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify broader growth opportunities
  • Provide technical and collaborative support across geology, mining and processing
  • Assume total responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our UG mining operations

 

About you­­­­

  • First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
  • 6+ years of relevant gold mining experience
  • 3 to 5 years senior line management experience
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Strong demonstrated proactive approach to safety
  • The ability and desire to obtain SSE ticket
  • Risk management experience
  • SAP Experience (Desirable)
