NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd has been producing gold in Northern Queensland since 2009. Located just southwest of Townsville, our Pajingo Gold Mine is a long-standing underground operation with a solid production history and a strong future.
We’re currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to support the safe and efficient maintenance of our underground mobile equipment fleet.
This is a permanent, full-time role on a 7/7 roster. The position is based in Charters Towers, or DIDO with accommodation and meals considered for the right candidate. Quarterly bonuses are also offered.
What You’ll Be Doing

Performing scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs and installations on underground mobile equipment

Completing work to a high standard to support equipment reliability and availability

Maintaining strong communication with supervisors, planners and operations teams

Assisting other trades and contributing to a collaborative and safe team environment

Participating in root cause analysis and improvement initiatives

Adhering to environmental and safety procedures at all times
What You’ll Bring

Trade qualification – Cert III Mobile Plant Technology or Engineering (Mechanical)

Minimum 2 years' experience in mobile plant maintenance in a mining environment

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

A proactive and safety-focused approach to maintenance

Manual C Class Licence
-
Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently
