We are seeking an experienced Underground Boilermaker to join our Underground Maintenance team at Pajingo Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will be responsible for fabrication, repairs, scheduled maintenance and installations across underground fixed and mobile plant and ancillary equipment.
The Role
Working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, your key responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating and repairing underground fixed and mobile plant and ancillary equipment
- Completing scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations
- Completing assigned work and associated maintenance documentation
- Assisting other trades as required
- Working closely with supervisors, planners and the wider underground maintenance team
- Identifying opportunities to improve safety, work practices and procedures
- Participating in root cause analysis activities
- Maintaining clear and effective communication across teams and departments
- Ensuring all work complies with site safety, environmental and operating requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in fixed and mobile plant fabrication and repairs within a mining environment
- Strong commitment to safe working practices
- Ability to prioritise and schedule work effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support other trades when required
- Ability to follow procedures while adapting to changing operational priorities
