NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer operating in North Queensland since 2009. Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo Gold Mine is approximately 72km from Charters Towers and employs around 250 people across underground mining and ore processing operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Exploration Manager to lead and coordinate exploration activities across the company’s Pajingo and Wirralie projects. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be responsible for developing and executing exploration strategy, delivering resource growth to support operations, and lead a high-performing exploration team.

The position will be offered on a 12/9 roster, FIFO, DIDO or residential in Charters Towers. Relocation assistance can be provided for the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and prioritise exploration activities across NQM Gold 2’s Queensland tenement package.

• Plan, prioritise and deliver exploration programs to support resource growth and mine development.
• Develop and manage exploration and resource definition budgets.
• Drive the conversion of Inferred Resources to Indicated to support Pajingo operations.
• Establish exploration targeting criteria and long-term project development strategies.
• Lead and mentor the exploration team and manage contractors.
• Oversee exploration compliance including tenement conditions, heritage and regulatory requirements.
• Produce high-quality geological and technical reports.
• Act as Site Senior Executive (SSE) for NQM Gold 2 regional EPMs.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology.
• More than 10 years’ experience with epithermal gold systems.
• Knowledge of IRGS, porphyry gold and VMS systems.
• Strong leadership experience managing exploration programs and teams.
• Advanced GIS and geological modelling software skills (Leapfrog, Micromine or Vulcan).
• Current manual driver’s licence.
