NQM Gold 2 Pty is an Australian-operated gold explorer, developer and producer operating since 2009. Our Pajingo mine is located around 50km from Charters Towers, southwest of Townsville, and employs approximately 220 people across underground mining and ore processing operations.

About the role
This is a residential/DIDO opportunity based in Charters Towers on a 7/7 roster, working 12-hour shifts.
You will commence as an Entry Level Miner in the role of underground nipper, with the opportunity to build your skills and progress into other underground mining positions over time.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Jumbo operator with the installation of bolts and mesh for ground support.
- Complete pre-start checks on equipment and vehicles.
- Support underground crews with general labouring and mining duties.
- Transport tools, equipment and materials to underground work areas.
- Follow site safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues promptly.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in physically demanding roles such as labouring, trades assisting, farming or drillers offsiding.
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in underground mining.
- Availability to commit to a 7/7 residential/DIDO roster.
- Preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Charters Towers region.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and provide a current police clearance.
