We're seeking an Underground Electrician to join our high-performing maintenance team at Pajingo Mine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic underground mining environment where safety, teamwork, and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

Working on a family-friendly 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of underground electrical infrastructure and equipment while contributing to a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement

About the Role

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will:

· Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations on underground electrical equipment.

· Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults across underground plant and infrastructure.

· Conduct breakdown response and preventative maintenance activities.

· Test and commission equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

· Complete maintenance documentation and associated paperwork.

· Support and supervise electrical contractors where required.

· Identify and report hazards while promoting safe work practices.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational performance.

· Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential Requirements

· Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence.

· Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Ability to prioritise work and manage competing demands.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

 

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

· Previous experience working as an Underground Maintenance Electrician.

· High Voltage Switching qualification and experience.

· Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drilling equipment.

· Fault-finding experience on SCADA, HMI, PLC and telemetry systems.

· Experience with leaky feeder communication systems.

· Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.

· High Risk EWP and Forklift licences.
