NQM Gold 2 is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Queensland. As an emerging Australian gold producer, NQM Gold 2 wholly owns the Pajingo operation and aim to achieve excellence in mining.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will have overall responsibility for the accounts payable function of NQM Gold 2. To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience as an Accounts Payable Officer within the mining industry or professional services and have an open minded, flexible and adaptable attitude towards change.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collation of invoices to purchase orders and checking for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure that all accounts payable invoices are entered in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow up with any invoice variances with PO or other issues
- Reconciliation of supplier statements in a timely manner
- Generation of monthly/weekly/daily creditor payments by cheque/EFT
- Prepare end of month accounts payable reports
- Attend to enquiries from the suppliers and manage AP mail accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Other administrative duties as required
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally possess;
- Minimum of 2 years previous accounts payable experience with medium to large ERPs (SAP s4HANA)
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience with processing invoices for a medium sized organisation
- Working knowledge of 3-way matching principal
- Strong Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a co-operative, team environment.
- Timely and accurate data entry skills
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Word/Outlook)
- Current QLD drivers’ licence
- Excellent supplier statement reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- A positive and professional attitude in dealing with all customers and the ability to effectively identify customer needs.
