NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Our Pajingo Mine, located approximately 70 km south of Charters Towers and southwest of Townsville, employs around 250 people across underground mining and ore processing operations.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to lead and manage all underground and surface survey activities at our Pajingo Gold Mine. This role is responsible for maintaining statutory compliance, delivering accurate survey data to support safe and efficient mining operations, and managing the survey function within the Technical Services team.
Roster: 12/9 FIFO or DIDO or BIBO
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and certify statutory mine plans in accordance with the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Regulation 2017.
- Perform Void Officer responsibilities and ensure statutory survey compliance across the operation.
- Maintain survey control networks and mine grid systems.
- Manage underground survey activities including development mark-ups, as-built surveys, and check surveys.
- Conduct stope void surveys using CMS (Cavity Monitoring System).
- Coordinate surface survey activities including stockpiles, dumps, and site infrastructure surveys.
- Provide accurate survey data to support mine planning, scheduling, and operational reporting.
- Maintain survey databases and spatial information systems.
- Lead and coordinate survey activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery of survey services.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mine Surveying, or Geospatial Science.
- Demonstrated experience in underground mining survey operations.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland statutory survey requirements under the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999.
- Experience conducting CMS void surveys and maintaining underground survey control.
- Proficiency with mine survey and planning software Deswik
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
