Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, 2 active underground mines, 1 active open pit, with new mines starting in 2027 as part of the Barto’s vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2030.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs
- Upload payment to online banking platforms
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers
- Assist with month-end reporting and audits as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
About You:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- SAP knowledge is a must
- Understanding of Accounting Fundamentals: Knows debits/credits, the procure-to-pay cycle, GL coding, accruals, and the impact of AP on financial statements.
- Understand relevant tax rules (GST)
