Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, three active underground mines, one active open pits. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth.

 

About the role:

The Mechanical Supervisor contributes to the optimisation of the performance and safety of the fixed plant, dewatering equipment, light vehicles and other ancillary equipment.  Liaising with the process team, maintenance planners and the Superintendent, the role encompasses supervision of the team of mechanical tradespersons to achieve maintenance targets and ensure production continuity of the site.

 

About you:

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years’ experience working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems particularly incorporating sag/ball mill, cone crushers, conveyors.  Your previous experience will include at least two years in a supervisory capacity, with the demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team of tradespeople and experience in maintenance planning and managing small and large fixed plant shutdowns with a comprehensive knowledge of fitting and welding practices.

  • Mechanical or Metal Workers Trade Certificate
  • Working at heights ticket

  • EWP ticket
  • Experience in SAP software
  • Confined spaces ticket
