Barto Gold is a privately owned Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer operating since 2009. Focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia, our flagship Marvel Loch project operates multiple open pits and underground mines servicing a 2.1Mt per annum processing facility. Supported by a tenement holding of over 1,400 km² in the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt, we are strategically positioned for continued growth.

We are seeking experienced Process Technicians to join our processing operations at our gold mine on an 8/6 DS 7/7 NS roster. This is a great time to join the Barto Gold Processing Department as our business progresses into 2026 and beyond, this growth is expected to create new roles and career progression opportunities for high-performing team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operation: Run wet plant circuits including crushing, grinding/milling, gravity recovery, leaching (CIL/CIP), elution, and the gold room
• Control Systems: Monitor and adjust computerized process control and SCADA systems (like Citect) from the control room or field stations
• Monitoring & Sampling: Conduct routine site inspections, check flow rates, pressures, and densities, and collect samples for basic metallurgical testing
• Equipment Maintenance: Identify faulty equipment, perform plant isolations, and report or assist with preventative maintenance
• Mobile Equipment: Safely operate machinery such as forklifts, skid-steer loaders (bobcats), and overhead cranes
• Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety, environmental, and site isolation rules, completing shift handovers and daily logs

About You

• Previous experience in a processing plant (gold processing preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Qualifications & Requirements

• Nationally accredited tickets for operating mobile plant equipment preferred (such as a forklift, skid steer/bobcat, and IT loader)
• High-risk licenses like Working at Heights or Confined Space entry, plus a First Aid certificate are desirable.
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Full Australian working rights
